Film for the built environment

Motion

Some spaces need to be moved through to be understood. Motion documents the project as it is experienced.

Every film is shot with a photographer’s eye for composition and light. The camera work is steady and deliberate, and it respects the architecture instead of competing with it.

Motion is often commissioned alongside architectural photography and captured in the same coordinated production, so a single project yields stills, film, and the shorter edits needed across the web, presentations, and social channels.

How a film comes together

Every film starts with what it needs to accomplish.

  1. 01

    The objective

The first question is always what the film needs to do. The production is built around that answer, not around a template.

  2. 02

    The story

I learn the project in depth, including the original challenge, the solution, the obstacles, and what set the team apart. For interviews, I prepare questions or write scripts in your brand voice.

  3. 03

    The plan

Before production, I develop the story direction, the shot list, the structure, and a shooting schedule.

  4. 04

    Production and delivery

We shoot on site to the plan. Films typically deliver in about two weeks, with two rounds of revisions included.

Project Overviews

Cinematic video documents the completed project, from the architecture and interiors to the details and craftsmanship behind it. Each film is composed to give a complete sense of the place, not a collection of disconnected clips.

  • Exterior architecture is paired with interior sequences.
  • Materials, details, and craftsmanship are featured throughout.
  • Aerial and twilight footage is included when the project calls for it.
  • Each film works across websites, project pages, presentations, and launches.

Additional vertical and short form edits can be created from the same production for social and digital use.

Testimonials + Project Stories

I pair thoughtful interviews with cinematic project footage to tell the story behind the work. The interview carries the narrative, and the architecture stays at the center of the frame.

  • Subjects can include architects, builders, designers, developers, or owners.
  • Each interview is filmed within the finished project.
  • You receive a full length film and shorter cutdowns.
  • Every edit is captioned for sound off viewing.
